As a District two resident, you will have the opportunity to cast four votes on November 7th including me for District 2, the Mayor who is unopposed, and two At-Large members.
Over the last few months, many of you have asked my advice on the other candidates in November’s race. I ask that you please consider Wanda Rogers and Dennis Brady, they will serve you well on the Council.
They are both exceptionally smart, critical thinkers who will serve the interests of the community.
Wanda Rogers
Wanda is a former Senior Executive at the Bureau of Fiscal Services where she served as Deputy Commissioner – that’s no small feat! She’s a small business owner and currently serves as the President of the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce. She will be a great fiscal steward, an advocate for economic development, and is committed to our police department and public safety.
She once complained to me about some Council antics, I replied she should do something about it. She did; today she’s running for office and tomorrow she will be a fantastic Councilwoman! Learn more about Wanda at WandaforBowie.com
Dennis is a long-time Bowie resident and familiar public servant, having spent numerous terms on the City Council. He is a retired engineer who brings strong analytical skills to the problems of the day. Dennis spent countless hours as one of the lead activists who kept the MagLev train from running directly through the City of Bowie.
He’s been a long-time advocate for our four-legged friends and was instrumental in establishing Bowie’s temporary animal holding facility for our lost pets as well as building the City’s first dog park. Learn more about Dennis at Brady4Bowie.com.
